JOB POSTING 081510-01: SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Royal Beverages is a Licensed Florida Distributor of alcoholic beverages.  We are seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Sales Representative.  There are multiple positions available throughout the State of Florida.  Please do not call in response to this posting.  We will contact applicants we deem qualified for an interview in a timely manner.


OVERVIEW

The Sales Representative is responsible for soliciting new business and maintaining current business from independently owned retail accounts in a designated territory.  The solicitation of new business requires properly selecting the appropriate retail account to visit and the successful execution of the sales pitch.  Once a new account is established, the Sales Representative is responsible for the ongoing service obligations they develop with the retail account.  Job performance is measured by the Sales Representative’s sales volume, the ability to properly meet service obligations in established accounts, and the ability to maintain and adhere to company standards, regulations, and policies.  This is a pure, commission sales position.  Commissions are paid when a Sales Representative receives an order from a new retail account as well as when a repeat order is received from an established account.

RESPONSIBILITIES    

  • Select the appropriate independent retail account to present brands.  Must meet company’s ratio standard between samples consumed to cases sold
  • Under minimal direction, solicits business by personally visiting clients, attempting to interest prospective buyers and explaining the merit of product and its application
  • Prepares price quotations, order forms, delivery dates and service obligations
  • Maintains service obligation with established independent retail accounts
  • Familiarizes established accounts with new products and developments
  • Facilitates the development of beverage list, table-tents and other POS materials as needed
  • Performs all related duties to setting-up, attending, and regulating promotional events and other account activities.  Night and weekend work in support of event schedule is required
  • Investigates and resolves customer complaints in accordance with company policy
  • Consistently maintains and adheres to company image, standards, regulations and policies

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have previous experience as a Sales Representative for a beverage distributor
  • Must be qualified to obtain a Florida, Salesman of Alcohol License
  • Must be a Florida Resident
  • Must have a Florida drivers license and a clean driving history
  • Must have a dependable and reliable, transportation vehicle
  • Must have proof of car insurance
  • Must be 21 years of age or older

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must maintain corporate dress code and grooming standards while working
  • Must be a clear and effective communicator
  • Must be able to successfully operate independently with minimal direct supervision
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends in support of promotional activities
  • Must be ale to lift and carry a 40 pound case box
  • Must maintain and adhere to company standards, policies, regulations and procedures

  • Proficient using the following computer software applications: word processing, spreadsheet, Internet browser, email, and pdf viewing software
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent values
  • Possess exceptional organizational, time management, and customer service skills

COMPENSATION

This is a pure, commission sales position.  Commissions are paid when a Sales Representative receives an order from a new retail account as well as when a repeat order is received from an established account.  Relocation expenses are not covered with this position.
